Family Mediation

Family Mediation is a way of helping people resolve issues relating to parenting, separation and/or divorce.

A trained family mediator helps people identify issues and work out their own solutions. The mediator does not take sides or make decisions for the parties. You can try mediation before you start a court case or at any time during your court case.

My practice focuses on child-related issues for Mediation (i.e., decision making, parenting time/schedules, parenting education, communication strategies, information sharing, child support, etc.). I do not deal with the financial components (i.e., division of property, spousal support, etc.).

I strongly encourage people to obtain independent legal advice related to their legal rights, obligations and entitlements while they are negotiating on their own behalf in mediation.
